Early Halloween

If my physical activity mirrored my blog activity, i might just have a hard time walking around the block without panting. ugggghghhh!!!

So this weekend marks the beginning of the Halloween party marathon. I was quite unprepared with any sort of costume, but luckily i have accumulated a few pieces of quality thrift store product over the past few years. So i just threw them against the wall and hoped that they stuck. you be the judge..

We wandered up to a party at my friend skip's house, he manages to live in houses that are close to forclosure, so he offers the owners small amounts of $$$ to live there and it works, he's been living in multimillion dollar homes on the draper bench for the last few years. the house was huge and that means lots of people. (Not to mention a good guy/girl ratio) It was a good turn out; the crowd was a little older and not to many out of control constumes.

Seriously though, halloween is a time to dress up. (Dress up= to put clothes on) it's not a license to dress like a"whore". :) (such a funny word "whore") seran wrap is not a costume. probably fun for a honeymoon or date night but being 30, single and abstinent isn't exactly easy and i don't want to spend all night singing hymns in my mind, trying to mingle here.

Yes i do have a job!!!

This is my current job, i've been working on this rock wall with Francisco for the past 3 months, the arch is something that Alan and I concocted, but the actual steal work was done by moi. i won't lie, it's not the job that i dream of growing old in, but there is something satisfying about coming up with a concept and then building it. hopefully the arch is finished by the end of june, it'll be close to 11 feet tall, it's a big deal. :) [sarcasm] so this one of the projects i'm doing and there is a roster of more to do on the farm.

Two rainbows, doesn't double the chances of gayness.

this was a little bit of spectacularness.
just because i enjoy a beautiful rainbow now and then, doesn't mean that i have posters and stickers of them decorating my windows and walls. i like girls just as much as the next guy. IMPORTANT NOTICE (the next guy is not gay)

mmmmmm, did someone say steak????? ya got me all excited.

Nikee took me out to the fabulous ruby river steakhouse for lunch/dinner. i guess fabulous isn't really the best describing word, but i regress. i did her taxes and she sprung for the meal. i'm experiencing conflicting body parts. my stomach says " too much meat, too much meat, too much meeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaatttttttt!!!!!!!" my mind on the other hand says " that's impossible, DEAL WITH IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" so i find myself laying on my bed with my eyelids hanging at half mast.
For some reason, it wasn't enough to get the large ribeye, i needed wings and ribs. (the three basic food groups:beef, pork, poultry) not to mention salad and bread.
tia and amelia came with us, i feel bad for the gentleman in the adjoining booth.
now i have to figure out a way to go run five miles??? would self inflicted stomach expulsion be wrong???

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John watching JAZZ

DISCLAIMER: this picture was not taken during the actually game, but a re enactment taken shortly after the game.

so we brothers decided to get together and watch some play off basketball. mark was very enthusiastic as you can see, the was out before halftime.
The plan was to get some pizzas and soda and just enjoy the game, well mark wanted a salad, and john is "allergic" to cheese. so i grabbed two pizzas for luke and i, we polished off a little over one, then when mark got there he finished the left overs, and then when john got there, he decided he wanted some pizza also and was surprised when it was gone. what gives, luckily jess saved the day and made him some food. it was fun, the jazz won and marky didn't even start snoring.

Worst Movie Ever???

I've learned a lesson, if you go to a redbox on a night when, let's just say BYU is having it's reading days, which essentially means that all 30,000 students are out and about lollygagging. With that many wandering students the idea of a dollar dvd creates quite the attraction, the redbox becomes an entertainment mecca. The lesson is that on nights like this you better not even plan on getting a good movie, of course we had to check the list twice just to make sure we didn't miss anything.(we = my date whitney and myself) The movie we picked was "Lucky You"Now don't get me wrong, it's not as painful as the titanic, but perhaps that is because i had some female companionship and we had lots of fun, making fun of the show. i won't lie, there were a few good lines, but if put in the mix with a trip to the proctologist, a coin flip would be the deciding factor.
So in a hasty generalization, byu students ruin movie watching experiences for the rest of the community. lesson learned.
